GT Turbo, Under 46k Miles, Bright Silver Metallic, Sunroof, California Car, Clean Title
Chrysler's retro experiment sold over a million units before anyone fully processed what they were looking at. The PT Cruiser divided design critics and delighted mall parking lots from 2001 to 2010, but the GT variant actually had something going on under the hood—a turbocharged 2.4-liter making 230 horsepower, not the 215 the dealer copy claims. That's Neon SRT-4 territory in a body shaped like a 1930s delivery van crossed with a sneaker.
This particular example wears Bright Silver Metallic and sits at just 45,813 miles, which is extremely low for an eighteen-year-old car. The photos show those multi-spoke chrome wheels still presenting well, and the body appears straight with no obvious panel gaps or respray evidence. The rear spoiler and chrome grille accents are intact. California plates suggest a life free of salt-induced rot, though the tinted rear glass makes it hard to judge interior condition from these angles alone.
Here's the thing about a clean, low-mile GT: the turbo four-cylinder and its associated plumbing deserve scrutiny. Check for oil leaks around the turbo seals and listen for wastegate flutter. These automatic transmissions were adequate but not celebrated. If you've ever wanted to explain to strangers why you drive what you drive, this is your car. Practical cargo space, decent power, and a silhouette that will never be mistaken for anything else in the parking lot.
